1. What is economic development?

In Sanger, we measure economic development by the improvement to the quality of life experienced by our residents. This is accomplished by constantly increasing the number and quality of jobs available, by preserving the environmental and social values that are important to the community, and by increasing the economic value of the community through the retention and growth of existing businesses, as well as the attraction of new businesses to the community.

The City of Sanger is committed to high-quality customer service, especially in the area of permit processing. Training City staff to respond quickly to requests has meant a faster turnaround time producing positive results within the business sector.
